Online stores with Shopware and WooComerce - the right store solution for every requirement.

SINEOS supports you on the way to a successful and sustainable online store and offers coordinated models and solutions on an open source basis. Regardless of which store better meets your requirements profile, the primary aim is to rely on a very flexible, scalable and secure product that is also suitable for future tasks. It must be possible to react quickly and reliably to changing market conditions. Shopware and WooComerce meet these requirements.

The world of e-commerce is subject to continuous change. More than one in two Germans now shops online, with total online sales in Germany amounting to over EUR 50 billion in 2015 alone. It is now also possible for small and medium-sized companies to engage in online trading without any problems. SINEOS currently offers two open source store systems to choose from. One is WooCommerce, an online store based on WordPress. On the other handShopwarea pure store system from the German market leader for e-commerce. The right system is selected depending on the customer's requirements.

Online store concept and strategy

Every online store should be well planned so that it can be implemented quickly and efficiently. SINEOS takes this important preliminary work of conception and strategy off your hands. Not only the selection of the right store system is important, but also the right strategy to address the desired target group. While Shopware is a very extensive online store and places high demands on web hosting, a WordPress WooCommerce store can get by with fewer resources.

Another focus is to work with you to find out which requirements are important for your company in an online store, both now and in the future. This is why SINEOS develops a list of questions as a first step and then uses this to create a technical concept for the best possible implementation, tailored to the requirements of the customer - you. This results in the selection of the e-commerce solution. If required, we can also develop this further individually so that the online store can be integrated into your business in the best possible way. For example, we can create interfaces to the merchandise management system (Wawi), a customer relationship management system (CRM) or a product information management system (PIM).

Online stores for B2C and B2B

The store systems used by SINEOS are suitable for use between companies and end consumers (B2C) as well as between two companies (B2B). Depending on the application, the stores must meet different requirements in order to fulfill the legal requirements. Both WooCommerce and Shopware fulfill the German e-commerce guidelines. In a B2B online store, for example, it should be possible to create different price groups and merchant groups so that a reasonable structure of resellers is possible.

Different payment systems can be integrated for each system, e.g. advance payment, instant bank transfer, on account, credit card or Paypal as well as other services and providers. Product prices can be specified with or without VAT. When setting the shipping costs, numerous variants are also possible, e.g. from an order value of €75, shipping is free of charge.

The usability, i.e. the user-friendliness and ease of use of the application, is determined on the one hand by templates, and on the other hand individual adjustments can be made to best suit your products. The stores have also integrated various filter options to make it as easy as possible to find items. Plugins and extensions also offer the possibility of meeting the desired requirements even better. Products can also be exported for other platforms such as Amazon or eBay. This is called the multichannel function. This gives you the flexibility and market penetration you need to sell successfully.

  • What is the difference between Shopware and WooCommerce?

Shopware is a powerful e-commerce platform that is particularly suitable for large and complex online stores, while WooCommerce is a flexible extension for WordPress that is well suited for small to medium-sized stores. Shopware offers comprehensive features and scalability, while WooCommerce is easy to integrate and customize.

  • What advantages does an online store offer my company?

An online store allows you to offer your products or services around the clock, achieve a greater reach and increase sales. It also offers the opportunity to manage your business efficiently, carry out customer analyses and implement targeted marketing strategies.

  • How do I choose the right e-commerce system for my online store?

Choosing the right e-commerce system depends on your specific requirements, such as the size of your business, your budget and the features you need. Consider factors such as scalability, security, ease of use and integration with other systems.

  • What should I bear in mind when planning an online store?

When planning an online store, you should consider aspects such as target group analysis, technical requirements, design, user-friendliness and marketing strategy. Thorough planning helps to make the implementation efficient and successful.

  • How do I keep my online store secure and up-to-date?

To keep your online store secure and up-to-date, you should carry out regular updates, use security measures such as SSL certificates and create regular backups. Make sure that all software components and plugins are up to date to minimize security risks.

Flexible, high-performance and scalable

Experience shows that it is not possible to predict exactly how many potential customers will visit your store at the same time, especially at the beginning. It is therefore important to provide appropriate buffers when hosting the e-commerce portal, or to offer the option of adding more performance if required. SINEOS offers the appropriate packages for this in order to absorb visitor peaks. However, performance is not the only important success factor; simple maintenance of the products is also a decisive factor. This can be done either via the backend of the online stores or, in the case of many items, via a Wawi or PIM connection. Extensive product imports are best carried out via CSV import.

Shopware and WooComerce updates

An online store must always be kept up to date, both in terms of products and from a technical perspective. A store system such as Shopware or WooCommerce is constantly evolving. Security gaps are closed, bugs are fixed and new functions and improvements are added. Some of these improvements are essential, while others simply make things easier for the user or save time during maintenance and administration.

SINEOS keeps your online store, such as Shopware or WooCommerce, always up to date with the latest technology through regular updates. During the update, the store is not available for a short time, which is why we usually carry this out between 00:00 and 03:00 in the morning. Depending on the scope of the update, the downtime is between a few minutes and a maximum of 30 minutes. After the update, we test all essential functions and inform you about the progress of the update. We also create a backup of the store before the update so that we can quickly restore the old data status in the event of an emergency. In this way, we guarantee you the highest possible availability and data security.
