At the same time, the CMS is characterized by a large and active TYPO3 developer community. The community, which has its main focus in Germany but is nevertheless represented worldwide, is constantly developing new extensions for the TYPO3 core software, which you can access free of charge. To extend the service life and save unnecessary maintenance costs, we therefore recommend that you use a TYPO3 version that is based on an LTS version. LTS stands for Long-Time Support and is a designation for versions for which new updates are developed and provided for a particularly long time.
